जादुई घड़ा

         शहर से कुछ दूरी पर एक छोटा सा गांव हुआ करता था। गांव का नाम मटकापूर हुआ करता था। उसी गांव के किसी कोने में दो भाई रहते थे। बड़ा भाई रमेश बहुत अमीर और कामयाब व्यापारी था वही उसका छोटा भाई सुरेश काम की तलाश में यहां वहां भटकता रहता था। रमेश सुरेश को बिल्कुल भी पसंद नहीं करता था इसी कारण वह हमेशा अपने छोटे भाई के नौकरी मांगने पर रमेश किसी ने किसी बहाने से मना कर देता था।

        सुरेश बहुत परेशान था वह रोज नौकरी की तलाश में भटकता फिरता था। एक दिन रमेश नौकरी की तलाश में भटकते भटकते एक पेड़ के नीचे विश्राम करने लगा। थोड़ी देर बाद अचानक उसके कानों में एक आवाज सुनाई दी जब उसने देखा तो एक व्यापारी परेशानी मैं कहीं जा रहा था।

        सुरेश तुरंत उठकर उस व्यापारी के पास जाता है और बातों ही बातों में उससे उसकी परेशानी का कारण पूछता है। व्यापारी सुरेश को एक भला व्यक्ति समझ कर उसे अपनी परेशानी बताता है कि उसे एक ऐसे व्यक्ति की तलाश है जो पढ़ा लिखा हो और उसके कारोबार को अच्छे से चलाने में उसकी मदद करें पर उसे अभी तक कोई भी ऐसा व्यक्ति नहीं मिला। सुरेश ने जैसे ही व्यापार की यह बात सनी उसने उस मौके को अपने हाथ से जाने ना दिया और उस व्यापारी से अपने बारे में बताने लगा कि वह पढ़ा लिखा भी है और उसे एक नौकरी की तलाश भी है।

       व्यापारी ने सुरेश की बातें सुनकर उसे नौकरी पर रख लिया। कुछ महीनों बाद सुरेश को उसके व्यापारी मालिक से छुट्टी लेकर अपने मेहनत की कमाई को लेकर अपने गांव मटकापूर जाने की इच्छा हुई।

        सुरेश जब गांव पहुंचा तो उसका भाई रमेश भी उसके स्वागत के लिए खड़ा था। सुरेश रमेश को अपने स्वागत में देखकर बोला की आज वह इस कहावत को देख भी लिया "बाबू ना भैया सबसे बड़ा रुपैया"। अब अमीर हो जाने पर सुरेश के मानो तेवर ही बदल गए वह अब अपने भाई को हमेशा नीचा दिखाने की कोशिश में लगा रहता था। 

        एक दिन सुरेश अपने गांव के एक मेले में गया वहां उसे कई तरह के रंग-बिरंगे झूले और पकवान दिखी मगर इन सब को छोड़कर वह एक घड़े की दुकान पर जा पहुंचा। वहां उसकी नजर एक अद्भुत और रंग बिरंगी एक घड़े पर पड़ी। सुरेश ने दुकानदार से उस घड़े को बेचने को कहा। दुकानदार ने पहली बार किसी को एक घड़ा खरीदने के लिए इतना उत्तेजित देखा था उसने भी फायदे का मौका ना छोड़ा।

        दुकानदार ने सुरेश को उस गाड़ी का दाम 100 स्वर्ण मुद्राएं बताई। सुरेश कीमत सुनते ही चौक गया उसने दुकानदार से पूछा अरे भाई इस घड़े में ऐसा क्या खास बात है जो तुम इसे 100 स्वर्ण मुद्राओं में बेच रहे हो। दुकानदार ने चुपके से सुरेश के कान में जवाब दिया यह कोई मामूली घर आ नहीं है बाबू यह तो जादुई घड़ा है इसमें आप कोई भी चीज डालोगे तो वह दुगना हो जाएगी। सुरेश ने दुकानदार के बातों पर विश्वास कर लिया और उस घड़े को 100 स्वर्ण मुद्राओं में खरीद ली और उसे लेकर अपने घर को रवाना हो गया।

        सुबह होते ही सुरेश बड़े ही प्रसन्नता और उत्सुकता से उस घड़े को लेकर अपने बिस्तर के ऊपर रखता है और तुरंत घर के सारे खिड़की दरवाजे बंद कर लेता है। जब उसे लगता है कि उसे अब कोई नहीं देख रहा तो वह उस घड़े में एक स्वर्ण मुद्रा डालता है इस उम्मीद में कि अब यह स्वर्ण मुद्रा दुगना हो जाएगा। थोड़ी देर बाद जब वह घड़े में झांक कर देखता है तो उसका एक स्वर्ण मुद्रा जो उसने उसके घड़े के अंदर डाला था वह वैसा का वैसा ही था। सुरेश ने कई बार प्रयास किया मगर घड़े से कुछ नहीं हुआ। अब उससे लगने लगा था कि यह घड़ा मामूली है और दुकानदार ने उसे लूटा है।

        सुरेश के पास अब कुछ नहीं बचा था उसने जितना धन कमाया था वह सब उसने उस मामूली से घड़े को खरीदने में बर्बाद कर दिया।

अब पछताने से क्या फायदा जब चिड़िया चुग गई खेत?

Magic pot

    There used to be a small village at some distance from the city.  The name of the village was Matkapur.  Two brothers lived in some corner of the same village.  His elder brother Ramesh was a very rich and successful businessman, while his younger brother Suresh used to roam here in search of work.  Ramesh did not like Suresh at all, that is why he always refused to make any excuse on the demand of his younger brother's job.

    Suresh was very upset that he wandered in search of a job every day.  One day Ramesh started resting under a tree wandering in search of a job.  After a while, suddenly a voice was heard in his ears, when he saw a businessman I was going somewhere.

    Suresh immediately gets up and goes to the businessman and asks him the reason for his trouble.  The businessman considers Suresh a good person and tells him his trouble that he is looking for a person who has read and helps him to run his business well but he has not found any such person yet.  As soon as Suresh realized this business, he did not let that opportunity go out of his hand and started telling himself about that businessman that he had read and wrote and was also looking for a job.

    The businessman heard Suresh's words and hired him.  After a few months, Suresh took leave from his merchant owner and wanted to go to his village Matkapur for his hard-earned money.

    When Suresh reached the village, his brother Ramesh also stood up to welcome him.  Seeing Suresh Ramesh in his reception, he said that today he also saw this saying "Babu na bhaiya bade bada rupaiya".  Now when he became rich, Suresh's mind changed as he was always trying to humiliate his brother.

    One day Suresh went to a fair in his village where he saw many colorful swings and dishes but leaving all these, he went to a pot shop.  There he saw a wonderful and colorful pitcher.  Suresh asked the shopkeeper to sell the pitcher.  The first time the shopkeeper saw someone so excited to buy a pitcher, he also did not miss the opportunity of profit.

    The shopkeeper told Suresh the price of that car 100 gold currencies.  Suresh went to the chowk as soon as he heard the price, he asked the shopkeeper, oh brother, what is so special about this pot that you are selling it in 100 gold currencies.  The shopkeeper secretly replied in Suresh's ear, it is not a minor house, Babu, it is a magic pot, if you put anything in it, it will double.  Suresh believed the shopkeeper's words and bought the pitcher in 100 gold currencies and took it to his house.

    As soon as dawn, Suresh takes the pitcher over his bed with great delight and curiosity and immediately closes all the window doors of the house.  When he feels that no one is watching him now, he puts a gold currency in that pitcher in the hope that this gold currency will double.  After a while, when he peeks into the pitcher, then one of his golden currency which he had put inside his pitcher was like that.  Suresh tried several times but nothing happened to the pitcher.  Now it seemed to him that the pitcher was a minor one and the shopkeeper looted it.

    Suresh had nothing left, he wasted all the money he had earned in buying that little pot.
